There are a range of adaptive bikes for different abilities, including a wheelchair loader. Standard bikes are also available.
Instructors will be located at the Hub to help set up bikes, but participants should bring the level of support they require from a parent/carer for throughout the session.
A free carer’s bike will be available so carers can ride alongside participants.
Free parking at Dark Lane car park (Blue Badge must be displayed).
Disabled toilet: Visitors Centre and Dark Lane car park.
Closest changing facility: Library (approx. 5-minute walk).
Instructors will assess ability levels and individual needs on the day and allocate each participant to an appropriate bike.
If more than one participant requires the same bike, they will use a rotation system to ensure everyone has an opportunity to take part, while also allowing for rest periods between turns.
Participants need to wear suitable clothing and footwear for session, and bring a drink/snack if needed.
